It's a tactical game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM, where you take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden was published by Funcom and developed by The Bearded Ladies when it released in 2018. We'll keep an eye out for any announcements and update our list of 2021 Epic Games Store free games as we learn anything new.įree on the Epic Games Store: December 31 - January 7 Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy.Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition.Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure.Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition.A few of these freebies were have been given away multiple times, but this approach isn't exactly reliable. Should you miss it, however, you'll have a couple of other opportunities to get it discounted throughout the year during one of the Epic Games Store's sales. You obviously won't be charged anything but will have to add the game to your library during the week in which it's free. All you need to do in order to add these games to your library is have an EGS account, go to the free game's store page and follow the same process as you would when purchasing it. Epic has confirmed that this approach will continue throughout 2021. Īlso, if you’d like to join the Phenixx Gaming team, check out our recruitment article for details on working with us.In the past, one or more games were available for free on the Epic Games Store each week. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. So next week I’ll just be talking about swearing at a little blue hedgehog in Green Hills Zone for dropping in that water and destroying my time trial run. I guess I’ve got to go fast and play as two of (formerly) the most obscure Sonic characters ever, as Sonic Mania (though I don’t believe you’ll get Sonic Mania Plus ) is available next week with Horizon Chase Turbo. Next week it is one very good game that I have the special edition of behind me, and a PC port of a mobile phone racing game. Maybe it’s E3 tiredness, maybe its Rogue like fatigue, I don’t know all I do know is I’m going to sleep!Īll this week you can pick up Overcooked 2 and Hall is Other Demons for free on the Epic Games Store until the morning of the 24th. However, as I’ve said before, I’m a little burnt-out Rogue like/lites and unless I get a massive urge, I’m not jumping at any of them to play. You could honestly tell me it is a port of something from the Amiga or Commodore 64 and I couldn’t tell you otherwise with confidence. Hell is Other Demons is a fast-paced side-scrolling bullet-hell Rogue like that looks like it fell backward out the 80s. The second game in this week’s double bill is another I don’t have much to say about after writing half a book this week. Yes, that’s what most of these articles are, but it feels different. Therefore, my opinions are general overview from a short amount of time. So, the handful of times I’ve been able to sit down and play Overcooked or Overcooked 2 properly, it hasn’t been for very long. I don’t spend as much time playing either of them as I do other games that I’m enjoying, I’ve never been one for co-op gameplay and I don’t have little sprogs running around asking to play. It is hard to say, as I know they are both enjoyable, but I’m not the target audience for Overcooked. I must admit, I am a little tired, so forgive me if I’m rather short here but for a more detailed look I’d head over to Alexx’s review of the All You Can Eat edition, featuring all DLC and both games. Fans of the “teaching kids how to swear” game, Overcooked, can now enjoy a second helping on Epic as served by a cartoon Gordan Ramsey. Two games this week, and one of them is easy to cover as it is just a sequel to a party game, making it bigger and more flashy. Onto the Epic Games Store and the free games this week, which I’ve viewed as the finish line for E3. If you want the entire list of shows we’ve tagged all of them under E3 2021, even though E3 has ended we’ll tag the upcoming EA Play Live and PlayStation conferences as such, just so everything is in a neat little pile together. If somehow you’ve missed it, this entire week was covered in E3 news with eighteen conferences spread out between Thursday’s Kickoff Live and what will come later today. See, normally, I’d jump in here, shout about Monday, and then list off and link all the news of this week up to Thursday.
